Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has signed the 2022 Appropriation Bill of N211 billion into law.

Signing the Bill on Wednesday at the Government House in Minna, Bello said his administration was poised to fund the budget completely as it was the last full budget to be implemented by his administration.

“On our part, we will try and see that we implement the budget but of course it is subject to availability of funds.

“As we are all aware, the budget is just a statement. We hope that we can fund it100 per cent,” he said.

He praised the lawmakers for passing the 2022 budget on time.

The Speaker, Abdullahi Bawa, said the budget was adjusted to capture some omitted ministries, departments and agencies to enable them to carry out their programmes and projects.

He assured that the State Assembly will ensure full implementation of the budget through its oversight functions.
